Today over at The Blazing Center, Mark A. writes about measuring success and how a Christian should respond. It is well worth the time to read it, if you can.
The post reminded me of the verse, So neither he who plants nor he who waters is anything, but only God who gives the growth. (1 Corinthians 3:7) Only God who gives. Any accomplishment, any success at anything in our daily lives is only because of God. And any failures He allows are part of His perfect plan. Not a small part or an inconvenience, but a part.
We don't see, we can't see, how everything works out for our good, but God is faithful and He is kind to help us in our weaknesses when we can't understand His ways. And in the end I'm not sure understanding everything will matter much because we will be with the Father.
