Guitarists are better than pianists because...

In Tim Challies' posts about the WorshipGod'06 Conference, he mentions how Mark Altrogge is at it again with giving announcements and this year it is around the theme of "guitarists are better than pianists because..."

Tim has promised to submit bloggers answers to Mark by leaving the answers in the comments sections of any of the posts...here's mine...

Tim,
As a member of a SG church in Lancaster, PA, thank you for your kind and thoughtful comments about SG, CLC and the conference. Thanks also for blogging the conference!

Well, after much thought, this is my attempt at the guitarists vs. pianists... although from Mark Altrogge's excellent witticism, this will seem wimpy...

Guitarists are better than pianists because have you ever seen a guy play a piano serenading a girl in front of her window? I can see it now, a guy pushing a piano down the street, narrowly missing parked cars, getting it up on the driveway and somehow making it past the sprinklers, dog, lawn ornaments and bric-a-brac while trying to keep it a secret...If a guy
has done this with a piano then pianists are truly better than guitarists...

What's your answer?

Toodles!

A guitarist can change the key of a song by moving his capo... no need to worry about new fingerings.

(Of course, I still have a soft spot in my heart for the piano...)
