The gospel's effect on me

Maybe one day I will flesh this out more, but for now I want to get some thoughts down before they go away.

I've been struck lately about all the things purchased for me through the gospel. And I'm not just talking about forgiven sins, freedom from sin, grace, a future hope and calling. I've been struck that all the things in my life have been made through Christ, for Christ and in Christ. That the trials were purchased by Christ's blood and that they are meant to serve the gospel in my life. This makes them precious to me in a way since Christ purchased them and he knew that the trials in my life would serve the gospel and work at perfecting me to be more like Him.
