You don't have to be an Olympian to outdo others

All week, I've been watching mortal humans doing unseemingly immortal things throughout the Olympic games. World records, especially in swimming, falling like dominoes as each race occurs. It's not only Olympians going faster, stronger, higher or longer against each other, but against the past, with many wondering, how will future Olympics outdo these current Games.

Outdoing is always a theme of the Olympics. And while most of us will not outdo others in an Olympic pool, stadium, or arena, those, who are Christ's can outdo each other in love and honor in everyday life.

Love one another with brotherly affection. Outdo one another in showing honor (Romans 12:10).
