15 away...

Hey everyone,

I am 15 posts away from my 500th post. Wow!

I wanted to throw a question out there. Do you have a favorite post from Stank'N Rank'N? I think in celebration of 500, I wanted to re-post readers favorites. If you can comment in this post below with the post and the reason it's your favorite, I will then re-post them with readers comments.

To aid you in your quest, at the end of my blog, there is a handy search function to look for things on Stank'N Rank'N like for instance "shoes." Or you could look my tag list for things like "Just for Fun," or "hawaii trip" or "random" if you feeling adventurous. I had to look at "random" myself and it truly is random!

I can't wait to see the results!

City News

Working in downtown Lancaster, I see many different things. This week proved no different when a 20 story structure popped up within the same block where I park and work. You can see it driving up Queen Street. You can see it up close in the King Street garage. It is an amazing structure, capable of lifting 6 tons. It's pretty cool to look at up close.

And for those of us city dwellers, Queen Street will be closed from Vine to King for periods of time between now and September. You can read the news article with the dates here. I heart city life!

TGIF...literally...

So life was crazy this week...I had to stay late at work and get up super early (5 AM - shudder) several days this week for a project to get done Thursday. The project? My bosses were having a coffee break to says thanks to all 132 staff members for all their hard work for the past year and they always give a gift every year. This year it was a personalized calendar with everyone's pictures in it and I had to create it, take pictures, print it and put it together physically...let's just say it was the longest (over 6 months of taking close to 200 pictures, design layout, etc., and 1 crazy week of putting it together) and most taxing project (I used a combinding(?) machine for the first time and if you know what one is - then we need to talk!) I've ever done... but it was received with great success...everyone liked it..but I am tired and ready for the weekend!

Quote on Loving Others

All the benefits of Christ—all the blessings that flow from God being for us and not against us—rest on the redeeming work of Christ as our Substitute. If God is for us, who can be against us? With this confidencethat God is our omnipotent Father and is committed to working all things together for our everlasting joy in himwe will love others. God has so designed and ordered things that invisible faith, which embraces Christ as infinitely worthy, gives rise to acts of love that make the worth of Christ visible. Thus, our sacrifices of love do not have any hand in establishing the fact that God is completely for us, now and forever. It’s the reverse: The fact that God is for us establishes our sacrifices of love. If he were not totally for us, we would not persevere in faith and would not therefore be able to make sacrifices of love.

This is my first attempt at blogging! I am so impressed with the other blogs I've visited that I thought it would be a good idea to start. We'll see how this goes!
